On March 16, 2007 we turned our 1999
Bosch dishwasher on and left the house. Two hours later we returned and our house was considered completely destroyed. Although we were able to save the structure ( for the most part) the smoke damage and fire destroyed the entire inside. It took 6 months to rebuild. Thank God for
insurance. This was approximately a $800,000
insurance claim. Totally paid. The
insurance company went after Bosch. Bosch tried to get out of it. But I think they are now paying the
insurance company. I don't know for sure because I have been too busy rebuilding and replenishing our inventory to follow up. The
insurance company is paying us. I have heard of another
Bosch dishwasher fire in the area, but luckily they caught it before much damage. All the parts are from the same vendor as GE, and
Maytag-those dishwashers have been recalled. Bosch is trying to hide this from
consumers. BEWARE!
