Bosch dishwasher model SHU5315UC - failed again. I paid $900 for this dishwasher and shortly after the
warranty expired, it failed. It cost $250 to have it repaired. A few years later, it failed again with the same
failure. Another $250 to repair it. I could have bought 5
Sears Kenmore dishwashers for the amount I paid for this one dishwasher. From my experience they would last 10 to 12 years. Instead, I keep having to have this one repaired. It is only eight years old. I thought German manufacturing was better than that. I'll never buy another Bosch appliance.

Be aware that almost all new appliances (even the cheaper ones) use some kind of computer chip or microprocessor. My Amana kitchen range has failed 3 times in eight years. Each time the microprocessor was the problem. The problem is most likely caused by heat from the oven. If we used the oven more regularly we would probably have more failures. Amana claims there are no known problems with mmicroprocessors they use and claim there must be another problem. They have sent repairmen who were not familiar with troubleshooting techniques to replace every circuit board in the range. A call to the Amana tech support group yielded a blank response.

I have a Bosch dishwasher Mo# SHV46C13UC with custom panel. The wife constantly complains that she cannot load dishwasher easily. There is not enough space and the clips are always breaking and most of them are lost. This dishwasher is not user friendly. The unit is quiet but the wife isn't.

I have a Kenmore dishwasher, and 3 days after the warranty was up the electronic panel broke. $250 to repair, so I'm looking to find something else.
