I have had a
Bosch gas range that is just four years old. While I was away, the
broiler kicked itself on. It was not in use. My son came home, heard
crackling sounds coming from the kitchen, went to investigate. He found the
broiler on
full blast, smoke pouring from into the room from the back of the range. There was no indication on the control panel that there was any part of the oven in use. Pressing the "off" pad failed to turn off the
broiler. After several more attempts, he was able shut off the
broiler. When it was cool enough to handle, he pulled the unit out and unplugged. Who would want to keep a range that turns itself on? My home could have burned down to the ground if no one had been home. My son could have died. How can I trust that this not happen again? I called customer service. After speaking to three customer representatives, the third on coldly replied that
Bosch was in no way responsible for the self-igniting
broiler. After one year the company, is bree of any obligation to replace a defective range. I'm furious that a company feels it doesn't owe a customer an iota of the onus. I will never buy antoher
Bosch appliance.

I also have a bosch less than four years old--only my oven suddenly quit working at all--like you no support other than an offer to come out to fix it a very pretty penny--Sears, where I purchased the stove is the same way--steer clear of them both they do not support the customer and I truly wonder about the quality of bosch
